Who we are
Tim Wucher
I founded GoArid with the vision to make travelling fun and easy.
I was born in Germany but am the fourth generation to live in Namibia. I have a degree in Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering and have worked internationally in this field for several years. In 2023 I decided to turn my attention and apply my experience to something “closer to home”.
I is passionate about nature, mountain biking and camping outdoors and am happy to provide personal support and recommendations for your adventure!
Fabienne Roxin
I am originally from Germany, but have been able to call Namibia home since 2022 when I first came to Namibia permamently.
I love the sunny weather, the beautiful and diverse nature and the endless expanses of Namibia.
In my free time, I enjoy CrossFit, working on creative projects, and going camping with friends or family. I never thought I would say this, but I have discovered hiking as my new passion.
I joined the GoArid team in June 2025 and am focused on providing you with an unforgettable customer experience.

When was GoArid founded?
GoArid began operations in January 2024. Since then, we have been continuously expanding our range of vehicles and delighting customers worldwide.
How does GoArid generate revenue?
GoArid earns money when we find a suitable rental vehicle for you and a booking is made. We receive a commission from the car rental companies for this. However, the use of our platform is completely free of charge for you and there are no booking fees.
Does GoArid have its own rental cars?
No. G0Arid does not have its own fleet of rental cars. We work with carefully selected partners and privately owned companies specializing in custom 4×4 rental vehicles.
What advantages do I have when booking on Arid?
When you book with GoArid, you save time and money. Less stress, more excitement!
We check availability, compare vehicles from different providers and recommend the best options for you.
Can I get a refund when booking on GoArid?
Yes. When booking on GoArid you can get a refund if you decide to cancel your booking. The cancellation policy of the car rental company will apply.
Does it cost more or less to book on GoArid?
It costs less. We do not charge the customer any booking fee. You pay in your local currency and save bank and currency conversion fees. There are no hidden fees or expenses and we provide you with the best possible rates.
Why is the company registered in the US?
GoArid is registered in Delaware in the United States since it allows us to provide our international customers with a better service and online experience. It also allows us to make use of the best payment processing systems and save money for the customer and the car rental companies.
