Kalahari Car Hire

We had a fantastic experience with Kalahari Car Hire in Namibia. The service and communication were excellent from start to finish, and the car was perfect for our trip. We organised extras with them, including a fridge, flask and extra spare tyres, which made travelling around Namibia so much easier and gave us great peace of mind. Highly recommend Kalahari Car Hire — we wouldn’t hesitate to use them again!

Our eagerly awaited Namibian trip had finally arrived. We used a small run around vehicle in the city for a few days and had arranged with Kalahari to be met at the airport after returning this vehicle. The courtesy driver was there on time very courteous and gave us a few tourist/travel tips on the journey to the office. We were met by Lucas and completed the necessary paperwork before being shown the vehicle. We had hired a Toyota Fortuna which was presented in immaculate condition. We had opted for a fridge and extra spare wheel and sat nav, the vehicle is also supplied with a spare wheel, shovel, first aid kit, jump leads, ground sheet, jacking block for sand, dashboard sunblind, tyre compressor and gauge all as standard. We were shown around the vehicle and given a demonstration of the 4x4 system. Our Namibian trip had been planned for over a year and throughout this time Kalahari responded quickly and professionally to our questions etc. The car performed faultlessly throughout our 2 week trip covering approximately 5,000km. It was very comfortable, easy to drive and coped very well on all road conditions. On our return at the end of our trip the handover was once again extremely efficient and our pre booked courtesy ride back to the airport was on time and the driver very professional. We communicated with Ricarda during planning and always found her to be very helpful. During the trip Kalahari kept us informed of return info etc via WhatsApp which was very helpful. We are already planning a return trip to Namibia and will most definitely be using Kalahari again. We would highly recommend them. Thank you to all the team at Kalahari Car Hire. We had a seamless experience hiring a 4x4 camper through Kalahari. From booking, to pick up, to drop off, everything was a breeze. The Hilux was a great vehicle to drive around Namibia and the camping set up was easy to use and had everything we needed. We got the pop up tent which was great and made set up super quick, not all hire companies offered this upgrade so it set Kalahari apart from the rest. Lukas who handled our pick up and drop off was amazing! Highly recommend.
