Bushbundu Car Hire Namibia

Don’t look further if you need a 4x4 to explore Namibia! We chose BushBundu for our 12-day trip around Namibia after extensive research. The great reviews, competitive price and offering (easy to assemble hard shell tent) made it our top choice. The expectations were high, but they were able to surpass them! Communication: Prior to the trip they answered all our questions sincerely and didn’t try to upsell an insurance since we had coverage of our own. Vehicle handover: Regarding the delivery of the car, you should account for some 3 hours. The team guides you in detail on all equipment and how to change the tires/ tire pressure. They also go through your travel plans and tell you where to fuel and change the tyre pressure, which was really helpful and saved us a lot of preparation, and also reduces heavily the probability of getting a flat tire. Equipment: The car (Toyota Hillux) was very modern and the tires were the best we saw during our trip (when comparing to other companies). No flat tire for us :) In terms of camping equipment, everything was in very good condition. Having two gas stoves was very practical and a differentiator to the alternatives. Overall it was the best experience we had with rental cars and we will definitely rent again with BushBundu when we return to Namibia 😊 Thanks for making our trip memorable

We had an excellent experience with Bushbundu Car Rental and would highly recommend them to anyone planning a self-drive trip through Namibia. From the moment we collected the vehicle, the team spent a huge amount of time with us going through every detail of the car and making sure we felt comfortable before setting off. They explained tyre pressures, how to change a tyre, the vehicle’s functionality, the water tank, and all the practical things that are incredibly important when travelling through remote parts of Namibia. What really stood out was their local knowledge. They didn’t just hand over the keys, they gave us detailed advice on our route, where to fill up with fuel, which roads to take, which roads to avoid, and practical tips that proved invaluable throughout the trip. Their knowledge of Namibia and its driving conditions was genuinely unparalleled and gave us a lot of confidence before setting off. The vehicle itself was excellent , sturdy, reliable and perfectly suited to Namibian roads. We drove on a mixture of gravel roads, rough terrain and long remote stretches without any issues. Despite some challenging road conditions, we didn’t suffer a single puncture for the entire trip, which speaks volumes about both the preparation of the vehicle and the advice we received. The team were also incredibly friendly and made it clear they were available to help at any point during the trip if we needed assistance or advice. Self-driving Namibia can feel daunting at first, but Bushbundu made the whole experience straightforward and stress-free. We wouldn’t hesitate to use them again on a future trip.

I can’t recommend Bushbundu highly enough. My partner and I rented a Hilux with soft top rooftop tent for 2 weeks. Communication from the very first email was superb. Benita gave us a through run-through of the car before we set off which prepared us perfectly. The car and all the gear were of the highest quality. Benita and Heino were flexible in accommodating our changing plans, and generous with the their advice relating to our itinerary. I will definitely being using these guys again when I return to Namibia!
